RUSH Drummer's Face Pops Up On St. Catharines Lamppost Banner

According to The Standard, RUSH drummer Neil Peart is one of the famous residents of St. Catharines who grace banners on more than 100 downtown lampposts in this city in Ontario, Canada.

"The list was very, very extensive," said Tisha Polocko, general manager of the St. Catharines Downtown Association. "There were many more contributors who were born in St. Catharines or moved here. We did have to whittle it down."

The project, sponsored by the association, was developed and designed by local artists from the CRAM Gallery collective.

Polocko said it was time for new banners in the downtown, so the association sent out a call to the arts community for ideas.

Among the submissions was the proposal to do famous faces of St. Catharines.
